Posting Guidelines
It would be impossible to simply bulletize guidelines on a topic that can become so heated. Therefore I will state the purpose of this blog and hope that sound judgment reigns.
My purpose in leading this blog is to encourage all people interested in learning more about what is written in the Old Testament to join and participate. This is not a blog aimed at converting, insulting, demoralizing, etc anyone.
I would wish that everyone joining and/or posting would behave in a mutually respectful manner, but I'm sure we've all noticed that in regards to religion, rational thinking often goes out the window and turns to insults when doctrine and beliefs are called into question or vary. As a result I will be moderating all comments. Absolutely no offensive comments will be posted. Determinations on comments are not open for debate. So be sure to review your comments carefully before submitting them.
Interpretations of scripture as well as respectful debate on these interpretations are appropriate as well as encouraged. "Fire and brimstone", "You're all going to hell because you're, (Democrat/Republican, homo/bisexual, Catholic/Muslim/Methodist/Jewish, etc)" are ridiculous and should not even be submitted. There is no point in posting comments from people attempting to insult and demonize groups and their beliefs because they are already beyond rational thought.
The goal is to read and perhaps better understand the Old Testament regardless of your faith.
Comments will NOT be altered in any way. What you submit either gets approved or disapproved, but they will NOT be edited.
